If you’ve ever needed a better excuse to get on your bike and cycle in a different country, you may be interested in Bristol based charity, FRANK Water who are hosting an informal get together for the launch of their Cycle for Safe Water 2020. FRANK Water charity works in India and Nepal with the most deprived communities to help enable them to get clean drinking water and sanitation. FRANK Water has currently been able to provide more than 400,000 people with safe water and sanitation. 100% of the profits from the cycle will go directly to the Charity, where they will go about helping out as many people as possible.
Next year, Cycle for Safe Water 2020 will follow a new, astounding route through India's Andhra Pradesh, on the south-east coast. Over the six-day cycle, the route will take you over the hills of the Eastern Ghats mountain range, along the ocean road, through bustling towns and rural villages, where you’ll also be able to visit the lives of those that have benefited from clean water and sanitation, provided by FRANK Water.
So, if this is something you feel passionate about or may want to get involved in you can join FRANK Water on 17th October 6.30pm at Illustrate Bristol to launch #CycleforSafeWater 2020, to find out more. You will also be able to hear from the previous years' participants who'll be on hand to answer any of your questions, show photos, share their fabulous stories and offer advice on everything from how long it takes to get a visa, how much training you need to do and how big the hills really are!
At the launch there'll also be wine, soft drinks, snacks and hot drinks that’ll be available to buy from the Illustrate café, if you’re feeling peckish. So, even if you’re sure this is 100% for you or are on the fence the, this event will provide a perfect opportunity for to have your queries answered.
