Levi Strauss & Co have been supplying high quality branded jeans and clothing since 1853. Levi’s is a household name and The Bicycle Hub was pleased to find out that they provide a stylish alternative for us cycling commuters.
The Levi’s Commuter Jeans have been around since around circa 2011 and with jeans not really being the most comfortable clothing to cycle in, we did some research...
The CommuterTM Skinny brand has some cool features that aren’t available in ‘regular’ jeans indicating that they are cyclist specific. The jeans are designed with a strong stretchy fabric for comfort and durability when cycling and also have a slightly higher rise on the waist for increased coverage (finally, something to stop the dreaded back draft!) The pockets also are deeper to ensure safe and secure storage of valuables, if you’ve not got a backpack.
Another really cool feature is that the material is water and dirt repellent, meaning that you can arrive at work after cycling in the rain, spick and span! Also, the jeans have a safety feature of 3MTM ScotchliteTM materials sewn into the seam inside the bottom of the leg that is visible when you roll up the legs!
The Levi CommuterTM Jeans are available in 5 different colours from Levi stores and cost around £85 and although it is a steep price for a pair of jeans the features may be worth it if you cycle to work regularly.
