New Cycle Highway Could be Built

A £3.5 million cycle highway could be built between Gloucester and Cheltenham. Plans that have been devised by Highways England, could see a cycle lane built across the B4063 if approved.

Gloucestershire County Council has already showcased the health and an environmental benefit cycling has on the local area and has invested £28,000 into relevant studies over the past year.

Gloucestershire MP, Richard Graham has already agreed to support the campaign and has highlighted the importance of having a safe cycling route. In a statement he said “There are real opportunities here for people travelling from Gloucester to Cheltenham or vice versa.”
