It was recently announced that the Government has released new Department for Transport (DfT) guidance for the cycle to work scheme!

It was recognised by the Government that getting more people in the cycling saddle is the best way to improve the UK's health, wellbeing and productivity and the most recent update shows their confidence and commitment to the scheme.

So what's been changed in the Scheme?

• FCA Authorisation: Employers can now use Cyclescheme's Financial Conduct Authority to offer their employees cycling gear of any value.
• Accessory Allowance: Advice on allowable cycle accessories, clothing and components has been broadened to encompass everything a rider needs to commute by bicycle.
• No more Top-Ups: Employees can no longer add fund (or 'Top-Up') as they could in the past and this is now a no-go zone!
