Our top five cycling accessories

Cycling is a great activity and whether you choose to cycle for leisure or it's your way of life, you'll understand the excitement of getting a new accessory!

With everything from bottle cage to basket straps, here's our top five favourite cycling accessories:

1. Helmets

Although we may be stating the obvious, helmets are the most essential cycling accessory. Not only are they paramount for your safety, they can be as stylish or as sporty as you'd like. We have a fantastic range of Oxford Helmets available and we're not going to lie but we're really jealous that the fun children's designs we've got in stock don't come in our size!

2. Ding Dong Bell

An important element to remember for all cyclists is that you want to be seen and be heard. That's why we absolutely love our large Ding Dong Bells! Available in a variety of sizes, these bells are great for letting other road users and pedestrians know you are there.

3. Storage

We appreciate handy storage just as much as the next person and we stock a number of traditional wicker baskets, wire baskets and waterproof panniers. If you're going for that vintage look with one of our delightful wicker baskets, we'd also recommend you take a look at our leather straps to marry up your style. We'll even help you affix them onto your bicycle so all you have to do is fill 'em up!

4. Trouser Bands

These may not be at the top of your list when you're thinking about cycling accessories but trouser bands can be a great addition to your collection. The bands will help keep your trousers from the teeth of your pedals are also reflective too.

5. Bottle Cage

Again a bottle cage might be something you forget when looking at cycling accessories but it as actually a really useful addition to any bicycle. Especially as we are (finally) coming into the warmer months, having access to liquids while cycling will be essential.
