Was Valentine’s Day a bit of a wake-up call for you? Do you spend more time with your bike than worrying about your love life? Or just want to meet like minded cyclists and don’t know how to go about it?
We think we’ve found the site for you...
Ride2Love, a dating site intended to bring cyclists together is the brainchild of entrepreneur and former professional cyclist Kelli Salone.
In an age of seemingly endless niche dating sites (the strangest of which range from clown dating to sea captain dating) it was only a matter of time for the relatively mainstream pastime of cycling was utilised for budding singletons.
It is the intention new users are compared and matched based on answers given to a series of questions. The questions range from the mundane such as height and hair colour to interesting cycling habits and lifestyle choices.
"A lot of women were telling me they'd like to find a partner who they could ride bikes with – and then my men friends starting asking whether I knew any single women who cycled," Kelli Salone told The Telegraph Newspaper.
Salone knew there was a gap in the market and no site offered a comparative level of depth into people’s cycling habits.
"You can really get down onto the nitty gritty on Ride2Love," explains Salone."You can say 'I want to meet a roadie who's up for trying mountain biking and dirt jumping'. I want it to be inspiring, to encourage people to go out and ride. "What better way to meet somebody than cycling? It's much better than sitting in a pub drinking too much and trying to think of things to say!"
