The Women’s Tour: 7th – 11th June

The OVO Energy Women’s Tour kicked off this week (Wednesday 7 June) from Daventry to Kettering on a challenging 147km cycle ride. With just 86 days before Cheltenham is host to stage seven of the OVO Energy Tour of Britain, the excitement here at The Bicycle Hub is really building!

The winner of the opening stage was Polish Champion, Katarzyna Niewadoma. The highest placed British rider of the first stage was Alice Barnes, who was born in Northamptonshire. The event which has five stages will be come to an end on Sunday 11 June in London.

The stages of the Women’s event include

  • Stage 1 – Daventry to Kettering
  • Stage 2 – Stoke-on-Trent
  • Stage 3 – Atherstone to Royal Leamington Spa
  • Stage 4 – Chesterfield and Derbyshire
  • Stage 5 – London
